Rumble Strip's.

Back home in Moose Jaw SK, shortly after a young girl got killed at a school zone cross walk on south hill many years ago, the City of MJ decided to put in a series of 'rumble strips' to warn motorists that they are approaching a school zone. Where by the way, the speed is reduced to 40 KMPH, instead of the 30 KMPH that it is in Calgary.

And the point is, is that you never see a radar trap set up in a school zone in MJ, because all of the motorists are aware that they have entered a school zone.

Unlike Calgary, where the ubiquitous "Dukes of Hazard" setup is in play, in dozens of locations on a daily basis... and for what? To protect our children? I think not!

If MJ can afford rumble strips, then Calgary most certainly can. As can every other city in the country.
